Dishwasher broken
So now our dishwasher is completely broken. On Sunday night our fuses tripped. We isolated the problem circuit and turned everything there off before resetting it. Anyone fancy fixing my dentist's booking system? Anyone?
So I toddled off from work today for a root canal at quarter past three. Only when I got there I discovered that they thought it was supposed to be at ten to three. I was too late to have the full treatment so they just did the removal of the nerve and pulp, and put a temporary filling on it. I'm to go back at some point to get a proper ( Read more... ) -
Back on cheese
After nearly six months of dairy-free torture, Robin has begun eating small amounts of cheese and butter again. He started with a spaghetti carbonara with parmesan and pecorino about a week ago, with fresh home-made spaghetti rolled out on the pasta mangle which hasn't been touched in all this time. After the funeral
Thank you again to everyone who came, and everyone who was thinking of us or praying for us yesterday. It was a great help to know that you were all there supporting us. I just wanted to thank everyone for your support. It's very comforting to know that you're thinking of us, and to hear you say that you enjoyed reading about Faith. I'm very proud to have had such a wonderful daughter who brightened so many people's lives. -
Faith's funeral
Faith's funeral will be at 1pm on Thursday 7 January at St John's Episcopal Church, Princes St, Perth. If you can make it I'd be very comforted to see you there; if you can't, please feel free to join with us by lighting a candle, saying a prayer, or just spending a moment in quiet. -
Faith is dead.

Faith is two years old!
We took Faith to the zoo yesterday to celebrate her second birthday. The original plan was that we go to the zoo in the morning and have a party at her grandparents' flat in the afternoon.
