Those who have read my stories may have noticed a similarity between the opening sequence of The Time of Angels and my fic Edge of Doom. I watched the beginning of the episode with a dropped jaw. The similarities cannot be a coincidence! I don't know ( Read more... )

Well either that's coincidence OR Moffat is reading fanfic though supposedly that's a HUGE no no among TV writers....or so I thought!

OR maybe Moffat tapped whatever frequency you used when you wrote your fanfic lol!

I'd say it was just a coincidence, except it's all those different details that are the same. But, this isn't the first time elements of fan-fic have shown up in canon. (*cough-cough* Nekkid Doctor driving the TARDIS *cough-cough*) I seem to recall that it's happened with other TV shows, too.

Yeah, if it was just his being in a museum, I'd say no big deal. But all the other details too? I guess it's fair, though: we steal Doctor Who from them, by writing fanfic; in turn, they steal our best ideas. :)
