Sami and I found a great little trail today and it's quite near to our home. However, while the trail discovery was a pleasant surprise, I was most taken aback by these giant leaves from the big leaf maples.

No kidding! There were two trails in close proximity to one another and both were littered with these leaves.
The weird thing was that I coudn't tell what trees they fell off of. I think they fell from high atop, above the canopy over our heads.
Feeling a bit Lilliputian, to say the least.

Weird thing is that they were EVERYWHERE! I'd never seen such a thing. It was as if I were in some weird dimension where I was the little one. :-)

I really value your opinion, especially when it comes to portraiture.
I'm really surprised that she let me shoot her, as she didn't get all made up and ready to go out. I just grabbed her and said "let's go for a quick car ride". She never saw this coming! :-)
