I don't know think we've ever spoken about The Beatles before, but I LOVE them. Growing up they have always been one of my favourite bands and were a huge influence on me. They were kind of a hand-me-down band in my family; my aunts were obsessed in the heyday, then that kinda passed to my mum and then onto me. When I was a toddler, Yellow Submarine was one of the only things that would shut me up, haha!

But I feel you; the drama and break up of the band is something that has always upset me, even if it happened decades before I was born.

Little trivia; my mum's dad used to drink with Paul every now and then! My dai used to spend a lot of time in Kintyre, and there were a few occasions he'd stop in and have a drink. As a child this story excited me so much because oh lordy the crush I had on Paul XD My aunts used to go nuts and I know there's autographs floating around the family somewhere!

That really is a cool story about your dai! Makes me happy to know that Paul would go and drink with the locals LOL.

I kind of discovered The Beatles on my own. My parents had a couple albums but didn't really listen to them, I really got into them after the Anthology series aired on TV and did a deep dive into the history and lore after that. I think my parents probably heard more Beatles in the mid-90s than they did in the 60s LOL
