AWWWWWWW. I love the ending to this chapter. I love House's cute little conversation with Isabella, and I especially love that some of it takes place in Spanish.

This is my favorite chapter so far! Looking forward to more!

Thank you so much. I really enjoyed writing this chapter - I had the last line written first, so the whole chapter had to be retrofitted from there. It was an interesting experience to write backwards :-)

Thanks as always for reading and commenting!

Very nice chapter. So sweet! Especially the ending.

Loved this line: I hope they’re not digging up your foundation So Houselike.

The line is taken from real life :-) When my son was four he had a friend over one day, and the two little boys spent the day disappearing around the corner of our house and coming back with rocks to pile under a bush. The friend's mother and I were sitting in the garden while this was happening, and she turned to me and said "I hope they're not digging up your foundation". Her delivery was very funny, and I remember it like it happened yesterday. Those two boys are still good friends - they're both twenty now :-) Time flies!

I saw on your LJ that you ride a Vmax. I thought of you when my husband and I were in Halifax, NS last week. We attended "bikers' circle" at the Marina, where my husband had a good time admiring a lovely 2006 Vmax, and talking to its owner.

Thank you very much for reading and commenting!

Isn't it amazing how many scenes or lines you can use from everyday life? I've found myself doing the same thing ( ... )

What a great picture of you and your son! He looks adorable. Happy Birthday to your 4-year-old, and if he disappears around the corner of your house with a shovel and a purposeful look, it's probably a good idea to follow him ( ... )
