Isn't it amazing how many scenes or lines you can use from everyday life? I've found myself doing the same thing.

Is that a pic with you and your husband in your icon?

:)

Yes, I love to ride. I've been riding for about 30 years now. Started on dirt bikes, raced motocross for a while and graduated to street bikes. I've always loved the look of the Vmax and it's relatively comfy for my short frame. I've lowered my own Vmax and have a Sportmax custom seat which lowers it a little more.
Now my 5'3" body fits pretty well on it.

We have a 1996 black Vmax (which I've owned for about 8 years) and we just bought a 1999 carbon fiber Vmax from a good friend of ours who took exceptional care of his bike. Couldn't pass up the deal. So now my hubby is going to attend the motorcycle safety course to refresh his riding skills. It's been a long time since he's ridden.

That's so cool! A fellow bike lover, yay!

I'm enjoying this story. It feels so real, so natural. Very in character, too. I'm probably one of the few who actually liked House and Stacy together. House's features changed when he was around her, especially in a somewhat romantic moment. He seemed to soften considerably. Anyway... enough rambling. But you had to go and mention motorcycles. :)

OH, and my son just turned 4 last Sunday. I'll have to make sure he doesn't try digging up OUR foundation. Thanks for the warning! My icon is a pic of my son (who was probably about 2 in this pic) and I on my 96 Vmax. My hair is a lot shorter now.

Oh, and another thing: I love seeing you wearing full faced helmets. I wear one all the time.

What a great picture of you and your son! He looks adorable. Happy Birthday to your 4-year-old, and if he disappears around the corner of your house with a shovel and a purposeful look, it's probably a good idea to follow him :-)

Yes, that's a picture of my husband and me in Charlottetown, PEI last week, and the picture on this message is the two of us on the Marina in downtown Halifax, standing next to our bike. My husband was in awe of the Vmax we saw there, and if I could ride - he'd probably have bought one then and there, and asked me to ride our bike home!

Our bike is a 1996 Honda Nighthawk 750 which my husband bought in 2000 - also from a friend who had taken excellent care of it. It's not the biggest bike out there, but it suits us very well and I love it dearly. The only change we made was to replace the rear pegs with floorboards, which I find much more comfortable for longer rides (actually, for any ride :-)).

My husband has only been riding for a little over 10 years, but we're trying hard to make up for lost time! He also started with the safety course, and his club by-laws require the advanced refresher course every few years, as well. And we don't get on the bike without full faced helmets, armor jackets, gloves - the works. For this trip, we treated ourselves to helmet intercoms - it was really fun to be able to comment on the scenery as we rode.

I'm really glad you're enjoying the story. Us House/Stacy fans may not be many, but we're a dedicated group :-) I also thought that HL and SW had wonderful chemistry together, and really brought out the best in each other. I'm the same age as Sela Ward, and I was especially happy to see a relationship like theirs portrayed by actors who don't fit the standard Hollywood age bracket. I felt compelled to give them the happy ending I think they deserve!

I hope you and your husband have a great time riding together! You'll have to post some pictures of the two of you.
