*hugs* I'm sorry it didn't work out the way you wanted. But really, 2nd place out of that large a number of contestants is still pretty damn good - particularly when, as you say, you don't feel like you worked especially hard for it. And you were only second by three seconds.

Like you said, it's a starting point. Next year is another chance.
