Ever since (I think) I came back to lj this year, the comments I received were all... well... quite spammy ( Read more... )

I don't update my journal very often, but for the most part, the handful of comments I receive are from people I know. I have, however, gotten similar spammy comments to the ones you mention. Not all of them are in English, and even the ones that are don't make sense. I just mark them as spam and move on. There is no point in replying because, as they comment anonymously, there's no way of LJ notifying them that you even replied.

There were, I think, a couple of those replies that had nothing to do with my posts that came from other lj users. And then some of the anonymous ones even contained good advice of some sort. But you are right, they probably wouldn't even know I replied so... oh, well.

The ones from "LJ users" are also spams. I used to report them as spambot, but there are too many of them and I get lazy.

It's just a fact of life at LJ now, sadly =/ The only journal where I don't get spam comments is Dreamwidth.

P.S. So now I just check the handy "mark this comment as spam" box when I delete those spam comments on LJ.
