I don't update my journal very often, but for the most part, the handful of comments I receive are from people I know. I have, however, gotten similar spammy comments to the ones you mention. Not all of them are in English, and even the ones that are don't make sense. I just mark them as spam and move on. There is no point in replying because, as they comment anonymously, there's no way of LJ notifying them that you even replied.
There were, I think, a couple of those replies that had nothing to do with my posts that came from other lj users. And then some of the anonymous ones even contained good advice of some sort. But you are right, they probably wouldn't even know I replied so... oh, well.
Ahh! Spambots huh? Hmm... So, from the name, it seems there may not even be any real people behind it, but they are bots instead? (At least, that's the idea I got. I don't actually know what I'm talking about haha! =P )
Thanks for the link there. But I doubt I'll use it either. Maybe easier to just delete delete delete. =P Just like what I did to the 2 most recent luncheon meat slices I got on one of the spam-magnet entries here. Can't remember if I checked the box though...

It's just a fact of life at LJ now, sadly =/ The only journal where I don't get spam comments is Dreamwidth.
