Heather's Visit:The lovely Heather, who moved away to Toronto to be with her looooove at the beginning of November (and, really? If there's a definitive reason to move away, that's the one!), is coming back for a visit from tomorrow until Sunday! I'm going with her to see Basia Bulat at the Ottawa U campus tomorrow night, which is excellent; I ( Read more... )

That's great. I've been thinking about moving to Germany on a work exchange but I'm terrified, I'm not sure I can do it :( You're awesome!

You're also awesome, lady! I think you should definitely look into doing the Germany thing - I'm sure you'd have the time of your life. :)

I'm going to have to find out whether, once the apartment's lease expires in August, I can do things month-by-month until January, or what my other options are if that's not so.

Yeah, read your lease carefullly but I'm pretty sure most of them come with the option to not sign, with the understanding that it is month-by-month in that case. Are you with Minto? I am and I have that option.

And good luck! SO EXCITING!

I'm not with Minto - my lease is with a smaller company. But I'll definitely be sure to look into things, because it wouldn't be fair for the company to force people to live in the building for a set period of time, right?

Thank you! It is very exciting. Also terrifying, but that's how I know that it's something worth doing. All the best things have that mixture of excitement and terror. :)
