I'm almost 100 pecent certain that on-campus signups are bogus, because I've never received a voting card or any record that they've received my registration(s) either. I want to vote, but you're right, when it becomes this much of a hassle...*shrug*

Yeah, most on-campus things I've seen at ASU are just to legalize pot or whatever, and they ask you to register because you can't sign petitions unless you're a registered voter. And I've had people go door to door at school in NY, and they don't even bother to ask if I'm a resident of NY, which is probably less than half the school.
My voting track record sucks. I think I did an absentee ballot last year, mailed it too late to be in by the deadline anyway, and then got it back two days later because I'd forgotten to put a stamp on it. ::smacks forehead::

Laura, are you by any chance trying to register in the state of Arizona as something other than a Republican? Because that could be the source of your problems... Az voting officials don't take well to non-party registrations. I'm a registered Dem, but that was in the pre-9/11 world... I don't think they'd let me now.

That is an excellent point. Though for some reason I was under the impression that we will soon be swinging over to the Dem side, what with Napolitano and such.

Our governor's party means nothing. What matters is what company controls the voting machines.
