I hope that you feel better now that you're on break! Don't blame yourself, it probably could've happened even if you ate something and laid down. idk why you almost blacked out, but it's always better safe than sorry when it comes to these sort of things.

Today was a good day, despite all these aches and pains from sleeping so badly. And yeah, my dad thinks I'm anemic, so we're going to get an appointment at the clinic to check it out and hopefully it's nothing too serious. Thank you for the reassurance, bb! <3333333333333333

Oh my god that week sounds AWFUL, I hope things improve ASAP.

I have only watched like the first five episodes of Legend of the Seeker; I need to watch more. It took me forever to try it because when I was a kid I read like the first seven or eight books that the show is based on, and the series starts out as standard fantasy and then just becomes an excuse for the bugfuck crazypants author to rant for 800 pages about communism. (So it's like Ayn Rand, except sometimes there are dragons.) But I have heard delightful things about the show and quite enjoyed what I did see, so I have to find a way to watch the rest. I suppose that much like with Kick Ass, the screen adaptation will be 'what this story could have been if sane and functional human beings were involved.'

You do need booze for Theon and Cersei's chapters. I don't even like book!Theon - or at least not earlier-than-ADWD book!Theon - and I still needed booze. When those parts are filmed it is going to ruin me.

IT WAS SO BAD /o\ But it seems to be over, thank goodness.

Yeah, I was told to never ever read the books they were based on because they were terrible and misogynistic, whereas the show is really kind of lovely in terms of ladies? Kahlan regularly has lady friendships (they're one-shots mostly, but it's kind of a road trip show, so it makes sense to me) and it often passes the bedchel test. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO WATCH MORE.

I came to love Theon from hating him in the most ridiculous, convoluted way and now I have ALL THE FEELINGS and I know those scenes are going to ruin me (especially the Cersei ones because I'm deeply, deeply protective over Cersei even though I know she's generally terrible, I get her a lot?). I know that they're probably pushing Theon's scenes up in the show, so I thought I might as well get it over with. But still, lots of booze.

Your sister and you have the same birthday? That must've been convenient for your parents.

LEGEND OF THE SEEKER FEEEEEELS YESSSS. I totally watched it literally a few months after it ended but the fandom had mostly moved on even then. There are still a few things around though. KAHLAN IS THE BADDASSEST TO EVER BADDASS THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT.

Oooh please do Jamie Lannister for the character meme!

Well, we were born seven years apart, so it was more of a hassle as we got older because my sister was seven years ahead of me and we couldn't really share birthday parties anymore beyond a certain age where she would tolerate it.

KAHLAN IS MY FAAAAAVORITE. Well, truly, everyone's my favorite. Except for Darken Rahl, but sometimes I even have feelings for him. I AM SAD I NEVER GOT AROUND TO MAINLINING IT UNTIL NOW, I LOOOVE IT SO MUCH. I keep making noises and talking to me screen, it's ridiculous.

JAIME LANNISTER!

Why I love them or why I wish they'd go die in a fire: OH GOD, I REALLY REALLY LOVE HIM? But I love him in a way that it's so natural that I kind of forget until I see him or read about him and I get this burst of loving feelings for him? It's weird. BUT ANYWAY, I really love how Jaime really gives no fucks about anything but his good press (no really, he's a villain obsessed with his good press) and his family? And not even his "family" per say, just specific members, namely Cersei and Tyrion. I love how disturbed he ( ... )

OMG YOU ARE WATCHING LEGEND OF THE SEEKER WHAT IS LIFE RIGHT NOW

Ahem. I mean. That's very cool. I saw it a few months ago and have already been through the series at least six times already. I didn't really get into Richard/Kahlan until the second time through, but that's just how I am with canon ships most of the time.

So please, tell me about Richard for the character meme. I need to know.

I AM! I AM ON THE SECOND EPISODE OF S2.

I originally watched it aired, but, like, I lost track of it and kept meaning to catch up, but never did until... now.

RICHARD!

Why I love them or why I wish they'd go die in a fire: I JUST LOVE RICHARD A LOT? I love how he is your typical "chosen one" hero, but it's not overplayed to me because the world they live in is ACTIVELY HORRIBLE and they need someone as bright and shiny, and hopeful as Richard. I love how nice and endearing he is and I love how he's kind of reckless, and loves too hard and too fast and ricks himself for his loved ones. I just love how he RICKS himself. He is really un-selfish in a really organic, believable way? Like, he feels like a genuine guy that doesn't feel saintly or above everyone else. I guess I love how grounded and normal he is? I JUST WANT TO HUG HIM AND SMUSH HIS FACE TBH /o\

My OTP for the character: Richard/Kahlan--they just hit all my shipping, narrative kinks REALLY HARD.

My favorite gen relationship with this character: Richard and Zedd are ( ... )

You love Richard for pretty much all the reasons I do. I'm not usually into his kind of character because they can easily tend toward self-righteousness, but Richard has never come across that way. He's a really nice, really fun guy who just happens to be Seeker of Truth.

I really love a good hero-type character, but they have to be done well and strike a good balance? Like, Steve Rogers/Captain America is the only one that comes to mind that REALLY hits all the right notes.

THANK YOU! I am so super happy about it. Hopefully I can get a job during this break, but I have terrible job hunting skills /o\

*snuggles* Thank you, bb! I'm trying to get an appointment at a clinic to see what's wrong, but we're all suspecting I'm anemic.

I KNOW, I KNOW. God, I had to read the Red Wedding twice because I knew I was getting to it and got to anxious and upset I barely understood it, so I had to go back and RE-READ. It was horrible.

JON SNOW! inthenextcomment.

Why I love them or why I wish they'd go die in a fire: OH GOD, I LOVE HIM TOO MUCH /o\ I started the series loving him the most (beyond the Lannisters) because BEST BIG BROTHER, I AM A SUCKER FOR BROODY BOYS WITH FLOPPY HAIR, but that love kind of faded and I fell hard and fast for Robb (I don't even understand this, but ugh, Robb, you are mah baby boy), but then I picked up A Game of Thrones to read and fell for Jon all over again? I feel like, even though I really do love show!Jon and Kit (I love you Kitty Kat, I do), I feel like the show wrote out the reall interesting parts of Jon? I call it Harry Potter syndrome because they did it to Harry in the movies as well. Like, not to mince words, but Jon Snow is an asshole; he's snarky and has a sassy mouth, is super arrogant and judges people constantly and I kind of really LOVED that about him? He is never woe is me, my life is so hard; no, he's resentful as fuck in his position, but he knows he's better, that he can DO better and I just found that really refreshing? I enjoyed his ( ... )

An unpopular opinion about this character: I have a couple? /o\ First of all, I don't really believe in R+L=J? I mean, I believe something happened between Lyanna and Rhaegar, but I don't think Rhaegar is Jon's father? And even if he was, I don't think it would matter all that much to Jon? Ned is and always will be his father, Jon cared about who his mother was, so I kind of don't like when he's stylized as a Targaryen or when he accepts he's a Targaryen wholeheartedly because he would be hyperfocused on his mother being a Stark. Also, Jon's whole arc is deeply, deeply entrenched in the Starks of Old, the Kings In The North and the Children of the Forest. I mean, the Starks BUILT the Wall with the help of The Children of the Forest and they're one of the few families that sent their sons to serve there. Jon is just... too Stark-ish to be anything other than that, It would seriously come out of left-field for me. And secondly, I don't think or want or see him in any sort of position of power? He's been given the chance over and over ( ... )
