MY GIIIIIIIRLSSSS :DDDDD I am in LOOOOOOVE with the art <3___<3 AAACCK, the blending! Bonnie & Caroline sorta of merging into one another, and both of them look like they're in pain and it's all sad and hurty but in a good way, IT'S SO PERFECT. And the backcover is simply but warm in a sense, to contrast with the front--like, no matter the pain, they'll come back to each other. And YES ON YOUR NOTES SECTION--the story TVD never gave us, I STILL WANT THAT STORY.

OMg the lyrics to the first song *__* SO FITTING. And I love the third song, I Will Go Quietly, it works so well for the aftermath. And EEEK, FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS :DDDD And Changing Colours is pretty perfect and wonderful too and I should stop because all of it is wonderful <3__<3 I love this and want fic for it I kinda wanna write for it, based on this mix. THEY ARE THE PRETTIEST (and saddest, in this mix) GIRLFRIENDS EVER. The blend was kind of a happy accident? I was mostly fucking around in splashup, trying to come up with something since manips are impossible in splashup, unless I want them to look shitty, but this came together so nicely and I like how they bleed into one another because that's how I see them: entwined and together even when they're falling apart. I picked the caps I did because I remembered that mini-speech about my head canon about that moment is when they both realized how much they loved each other, even though they were tearing each other apart inside (also, Bonnie's cap is when she's trying to set Damon on fire and proves how intense she gets over Caroline). AND YES, THAT IS EXACTLY WHY I CHOSE THAT AS THE BACKCOVER. To contrast it. I also made it gray and blurry because that was the before they're trying to get back to.

I could ramble about each song, DEAR GOD. The first one is how I imagine they felt during the scene in Brave New World, just the utter ( ... )

I am genuinely curious about how you feel about these two, BECAUSE YOU HAVE WONDERFUL SHIPPY THOUGHTS (AND WONDERFUL THOUGHTS IN GENERAL) ALL THE TIME AND I JUST HAVEN'T BEEN EXPOSED TO THEM. I could give you MORE thoughts if you wish? I gave Scorp head canon for them a million and a half years ago that Ima just copy and paste to you because that's how I roll. BECAUSE, YES, YOU SHOULD SHIP THIS. Everyone should ship this, tbh. I have this theory that if they were guys, they would be the biggest slash pairing evar.

+ They were both friends of Elena first: Caroline because of founding family play dates and Bonnie because they met in the park. Elena brought them together and they were friends, but not really friends friends? I think they played with each other because they both wanted to play with Elena and that was just how things worked. Then Tyler called Bonnie a name and Caroline punched him and that’s when they really became friends because Caroline had fully accepted Bonnie as her own and Bonnie felt accepted ( ... )

I love your brain-canon so much, Heather. You and Scorp are my favorites because you both obviously put so much care and thought into everything you're involved with. I aspire to be more like the both of you, tbh!

They’ve always had each other, it’s probably the one constant in their lives and what sets them apart from Elena. Elena had Matt, Elena had her parents, Elena had Jeremy, while Bonnie and Caroline are both only children with one parent who left and the other parent who’s a workaholicYesssss. I love this. And it really works for me too when Bonnie comes back from all her awful family/Grams stuff and Elena and her haven't talked but Caroline's all OMG BONNIE ): WE TALKED EVERY DAY~ and it really hurts from Elena's POV because you're supposed to feel how left out she is, but it also must have been so wonderful for Bonnie to have Caroline there, and for Caroline to have Bonnie leaning on her. Yes, THAT! I like the complicated emotions of that scene because you're happy Bonnie had Caroline, but sad Elena is left out and poor Caroline didn't even know that Elena was left out because she just assumed they'd talk about they are BFF.

ME TOO. I mean, I think it's kind of supported in canon because there's a scene after Damon attacks Caroline where Bonnie's just lying on her bed listening her talk while staring at a candle and then they're at school, so she totes slept over because Bonnie was extremely protective of Caroline around that whole icky mess with Damon.

First of all, THAT GIF! I keep getting caught staring at it and losing my train of thought. It's so wonderful. Go to moar dances together, Caroline and Bonnie! :D

Yes, THAT! They're happy and compatible mostly to me, but show didn't resolve these very serious issues! This is why I'm so resentful of the tone the show's taken this season, this ~BIGGER AND BADDER~ tone that drives me nuts. You were so good before show! When you focused on friendships and characters and let that drive your plot, now it's originals and end of the world stakes (even though I love Elijah and I do, I would trade him in for the S1 feel back). And yes, this show has become the love triangle show /o\

(I know, right? And I think someone wrote some Caroline/Matt/Tyler fic, but I don't remember who and it was focused around Caroline, which seems odd to me because Tyler keeps dating (or hooking up with) women connected to Matt for some reason ( ... )
