First of all, THAT GIF! I keep getting caught staring at it and losing my train of thought. It's so wonderful. Go to moar dances together, Caroline and Bonnie! :D

Yes, THAT! They're happy and compatible mostly to me, but show didn't resolve these very serious issues! This is why I'm so resentful of the tone the show's taken this season, this ~BIGGER AND BADDER~ tone that drives me nuts. You were so good before show! When you focused on friendships and characters and let that drive your plot, now it's originals and end of the world stakes (even though I love Elijah and I do, I would trade him in for the S1 feel back). And yes, this show has become the love triangle show /o\

(I know, right? And I think someone wrote some Caroline/Matt/Tyler fic, but I don't remember who and it was focused around Caroline, which seems odd to me because Tyler keeps dating (or hooking up with) women connected to Matt for some reason.)

The whole mix is kind of sad, but I tried to turn it around in the end and give it a hopeful tone and I'm glad they flow together well! *is obsessed with song order*

You have, BUT I AM GLAD TO HEAR IT AGAIN. And yeah, that. I honestly hate the idea of people saying that Miranda and Grayson were secretly horrible people because so far, they're honestly the only good example of parenting we have on the show (and they're dead, so clearly no one in Mystic Falls can have good things). I get all defensive over them because I have all sorts of head canon. But yeah, they're one the few characters with a good, supportive background whereas everyone else kind of has a broken home. And oh, god, THAT SCENE. MY HEART. Oh, Caroline. I just wanted to snuggle her forever.

I agree completely, but I feel like that's just Bonnie? She gets so intense over girls. There's a similar scary reaction when Caroline's turned and there's her begging Lucy to stay, despite just having met her. And yes, it's much more balanced simply because I see them on equal footing in terms of everything in their lives? They're the support system with missing parents and the one at home being a workaholic, they're not the people everything revolves around. You're right when you say Caroline would be jealous! (Oh, she still has it in her. I honestly wish they'd show more of her S1 traits because those just don't disappear, especially when they're supposed to be amplified. I don't like the idea that vampirism just gives you insta-confidence.)

Yes, THAAAAAAT. I just think they need each other because they get each other on a level most people don't. Like, in S1 people wouldn't get Caroline's lack of thought before speaking, but Bonnie's so patient with her and Caroline accepts her witch-yness after she lets go of the jealously that Elena and Bonnie have been leaving her out of the equation.
