MORE REGENCY PICTURES

Finally some decent pictures of the Regency dress! It is finished, apart from the raw seams on the left shoulder, some details on the right sleeve plus the small gap in the back. The dress really benefits from wearing my Renaissance chemise underneath, so I think I'll keep doing that. The bonnet isn't quite finished (needs some more decos), and I ( Read more... )

Lovely:) Very nice use of stripes indeed.

If you want to add anything maybe repeat the motiffe at the wrists elsewhere, that fine red line could be balanced by some red at the neckline like in the Kyoto dress. I'm not sure how heavy you'd want it as the Kyoto also has a very busy hem so that is also balanced by a heavy trim at the neck.

Yeah, that's a good point. I'm not planning on decorating the hem, so adding too much at the bodice might ruin the balance. But repeating the cuff decos might work, thanks for the idea!
