Sooo... watching has been mostly Schitt's Creek over and over with n3m3sis43. We started rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender because listen, that show is fantastic.
Currently listening to P!ATD "Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" because I listen to whatever my Pandora station plays me. Just before that was Popular from Wicked.
Reading: Fancomics for Invader Zim. Fanfics for Captive Prince. What are real books? I don't know them. xD

All I am reading during the pandemic are Star Trek books and romance. I keep opening "real" books and I'm like nope, these are real. Leave me alone. And they are. What better way to spend a Saturday than with the crew of the USS Titan? :)
Our pandemic watching has been a Brooklyn 99 rewatch, a DS9 rewatch, and we just blew through She-Ra this weekend and cried while doing it. Avatar is like next on our list!
We've also been taking advantage of all of the airing of different musicals and plays from places like the National Theater.

Ahaha yep. Fandom is much cozier for me right now. I can just read about the same characters in various stories over and over again. Very soothing, right about now.
B99 is definitely always worth rewatching (might be back on the list...). I've been meaning to get into She-Ra but haven't yet! Starting new things feels hard, right now, though. :)
I've definitely been wanting to look into more things like that, especially since my kiddo is on the cusp of becoming a theater nerd (he LOVES the music from so many musicals...).
Re: Writer Thread: What do you want to do when this is over? What did the pandemic take?vegawritersMay 25 2020, 18:35:00 UTC
We are still so bitter that we lost out on Star Trek: Las Vegas this year. And my dad was going to come up and visit and he can't because no one should get on a plane right now.
I know I can't work permanently from home, but my boss has been very honest about understanding our capacity for that more, so I think I'm going to really push for a schedule that has me home more. If we ever get to leave the house again.
Where were you going in Upstate NY? It's been so long since I've been back there.

Awwww. That sucks. :(
I don't know if my boss would allow me to or not. I live close enough to HQ to work in the office, etc, and always have. But it's... better for my family, even once kiddo goes back to school (however long that takes to happen, if it happens).
We were gonna head up to the Hudson Valley area -- there's a little cottage we like to stay at and our plan was to stay there. :)

Hmmmm. I have a headache, possibly because I worked like 60 hours this week before the weekend deployment. Then I had to work all day Saturday and yesterday to squash critical post-release bugs, yay. So that's... boring, haha

Trips are indefinitely on hold, obvs, 'til all of this is calmer. I would like to see Sarah again. xD At some point.
Other than that I think I might want to petition my boss to let me permanently work from home.

Including the one I'm using now because I can't resist a good JazzDev one for myself. xD
Well worth it, though.
