I wanna start a bitching thread. So we can bitch about whatever we want.
Provide your woeiest of woes.
Please only respond to things you agree with the bitching of, or to offer consolation.

To start it off,
I HATE FEELING LIKE AN ABSOLUTE BITCH FOR NOT LIKING ROBIN/CHOPPER AFTER THAT EPIC ARGUMENT! Every time someone asks what pairings I don't want I hesitate... cause they dynamic really doesn't interest me, and I'm allowed right, but each time I state that I feel like I'm gonna be judged as one of the people who was in the thick of that fight...

add your bitchings, and we'll have a party!

Honestly, don't feel like a bitch because you don't like it. I think we're all mature enough to move on from that fight. I don't have anything against people who say they don't want RoCho, and this is coming from a RoCho fan. Just request what you want, have fun, blah blah blah. :D

And my woes will be kept to myself for now since I don't like to talk about it. D: But anyways, cheer up!

Not respecting the rule 1 request= 1 answer.

Now we hav esituation when people just request and don' answer. And situation like mine- I answered around 20 prompts, posted onlly 10 and so far none of them were answered >> it's not that I'll stop answering, but geez, people, be reasonable!

I write a lot and prompt a lot too so I'm always paranoid people aren't answering my prompts because they think I'm one of those people... :|

I hate loving a character that's popular and many people request. I'm so afraid of triggering another "Too much of (fill in the blank)!" response that I find myself requesting characters and pairings I don't really want to read, but I still want to read the situation so I just settle for something I'll think is okay instead of something I'll love. I feel really paranoid about it, and every time someone adds another Luffyko request I become afraid that someone is going to complain about how it's a One Piece meme, not the Luffyko meme and ruin everyone's good mood.

This Luffyko-crazy anon is frantically trying to fill requests to make people happy so this don't happen...

I know, I think it all evens out in the wash anyways when it comes to character meme- time, but I totally share your insecurities! I always end up asking for either gen or a pairing that doesn't really bother me but isnt' the one I really want if I feel people will get fed up wit it...

I'm perfectly fine with people mentioning which characters they don't want involved in a request. Yes, even if it's my favorite character. But something that I absolutely HATE is when someone feels they have to mention how boring or weird they think that character is, or add something like the "They can go have a relationship with their right hand" that someone added to their request recently. Why even mention something like that? I don't go around writing "Use Nami if you want to write het (Robin can go fuck herself with a broom or something)", both because I think it ruins the happy feeling of the meme and because it's pretty counterproductive to tell people "I hate this character that you like and I just HAVE to tell you all about it" if you want someone to fill your request. I personally refuse to fill a request like that, even if it's interesting and I have an idea for it.

Hm, well can I say that at times this meme really comes off hostile to anyone who likes Robin because people feel the need to mention they dislike her just that often. I personally really dislike the negative requesting and it's probably come about because of that because it's on so many requests.

It still doesn't bother me.

Guessing you're not a Robin fan then?

I like Robin. I'm just not bothered by other people not wanting her or one of my favorite characters in their request. There's still a lot of Robin requests on the meme, so it's not like you're the only one who likes her. I made a Robin request of my own recently, so I know for a fact it's not just you. And someone not wanting a character in a request doesn't automatically mean they don't like the character or that they never request them. I asked for a request recently where Usopp was one of the characters I didn't want to see used, and he's my favorite character. I just didn't want to see him used for that particular plot. So as I see it, someone saying that they don't want Robin in their request is not proof enough to say that they have anything against her. Saying "No Zoro, he's such a stick in the mud", on the other hand, is a clear statement that no, the requester does not like Zoro and just HAS to tell the entire meme. And that's the kind of behavior that really pisses me off.

Granted, but there have been so many prompts where the requester feels the need to remind the meme at large they don't want anything to do with Robin (even when it wasn't actually necessary to the request I think, because other pairs and chars had been mentioned as preferred) that it really feels like a thing to me, like I'm irritating people every time I post a Robin fic, esp considering people don't tend to fb them, even if it's gen and not RoCho/RoLu/whatever. It makes me feel like the meme hates Robin. Maybe it's just a couple of prolific anons hate Robin? I don't know.

I don't think people are annoyed by Robin requests, but I know what you feel like and it's not a nice feeling. But in my case that feeling appears when I request Zoro, so I know it's more than just a feeling, but whatever. I think most people would be happy to see more Robin requests, especially in pairings that wander outside the usual RoCho or LuRo requests. I know I would.

problem is that anon is actually a huge fan of Luffy and Robin interaction of any kind most of all, but most of those requests already out there aren't hers. Other pairs would be a matter of trying out something new that I'm not really into. I like Robin gen, but I've asked for Robin gen or action before, and it didn't get picked up.

Although I was talking writing, not requesting. My Robin muse went and hid in a corner after all the anti-Robin talk and some gen ficlets that only the OP replied to.
