Okay, Internet, here's the thing: I have looked at Carly with my own eyes and she, seriously, only has one ear. The other one is just... gone and where it should be there's just a weird pink pucker, like a really veiny scar, and a tiny hole. It's SERIOUSLY CREEPY; you don't notice it at first but then it dawns on you that her face is dramatically asymmetrical and then oh GOD there's no EAR there and jesus, I felt like a terrible person but I couldn't help staring at it. If she could grow hair to cover it up a little it'd mitigate the fucking trauma of it a little, but she's bald like a baby. I mean in pretty much the exact way a newborn baby is, like with a little bit of weird crinkly hairs around the ears (in her case, the ear and the ear-hole) and a patch up top, but otherwise just sort of downy. But I digress, anyway she wouldn't really respond to any of my questions about how she lost (or failed to be born with) the ear; mainly, in fact, even when she was calm enough to communicate with - that is, between violent, raging tantrums
