Weeeeeell... what can I say? XD I won't lie. I went into the cinema theatre with inordinately low expectations - even for a Michael Bay film. I was already expecting it to be bad, and the many criticisms of the movie that seemed to spread across the interwebs pending it's release didn't help things none. So yeah, I went in - aware of spoilers, ( Read more... )

bleh, movies, transformers

Seconded! Everything. *lol*
I also went to the cinema and expecting nothing, but kinda enjoyed it, even though there were still a few things I couldn't stand. (Like the new love interest. God, even though Carly does say that one cool line, I didn't like her. Maybe because her romance with Sam seemed all fake.)

As for the Starscream and Shockwave defeated by a parachute thing... So glad I'm not the only one being, well... 'disappointed'. :S

Last thing I'll say is this. The image of Optimus Prime flying into battle, all heroic and awesome, only to get stuck in the worlds strongest wires and just hang there... having to be cut free by the others.... That shall remain in my heart forever more. <333
LOOOL So seconded! I had to laugh loudly in cinema about that, because it was so ridiculous and funny. *g* :p Well, Shockwave got beaten by a parachute, and Optimus by wires, guess they're even. ;p

*LOL* The only way to enjoy a Michael Bay film I think! XD Carly... I really had no proper opinion on her until that one line. =/ Mostly because I was pretty indifferent about Micheala in the other movies, and that just carried on with Carly in this one. Generic love-interest = meh. :<

Urk! I know. D: I pay money to see robots kill other robots. The humans are just meant to take up space and ineffectually try to help. >_<

*ROFL* It was so awesome! XD I just couldn't stop giggling whenever it switched back to him just hanging there. xDD

*lol* Yeah. :p Even though I have to admit that I really like Armageddon. *lol* Probably because of the awesome space scenes. :D
I was a bit annoyed at her the moment you got to see her arse shoved in the face. <.< It was like that scene in the second movie, when Mikaela sat on that bike. *drop*
But yeah, you’re right about that love interest thing. But Mikaela was at least in the first movie kinda cool.

Yep, maybe one day, we’ll get a robot movie with only robots. :p I don’t truly believe it, but at least I can hope? v.v

LOL Me, too. I sat there with a big grin and thought something like “And again Optimus misses all the action. At least he’s not dead this time. :p”

Ah, but that's fair enough! :D Never seen it myself, but I have heard plenty of good things about Armageddon. (I only really know it from the Don't Wanna Miss A Thing music video xDD)

Urk. Looking back, I just roll my eyes at those scenes now. .__. Truth be told, after Michaela's bike one in ROTF, I don't think it could have gotten much worse. And Carly's 'obligatory' ass-shot didn't come as a surprise really. Didn't make it any less cringe-worthy though. :S
Michaela was ten times more useful. @_@ Though I don't blame Megan Fox for leaving, with a director like that.

I've heard there's rumours of a reboot of the TF movies! This time, gods be good, without Michael Bay. *ish hopeful*

XDDD It was like Optimus Prime puppet-theatre or something!

Low expectations: helping us enjoy films made by mysogenist dicks :D

I also felt sorry for Megatron. Although I assumed the drones crawling all over him were medbots. Hmm... Well, this means I need to go see it again to work that out!

Precisely! XD I found it made the whole experience ten times better than I thought it would be.

Ahh, that would make an infinite amount more sense. :P *lol* Take notes if you do! I want to know where Megatron got that fabulous poncho/cape/shrug thing. XD

Yeah me too. Apart from the whole gratuitous Carly's butt scene, and the gender and race fail, it was highly enjoyable.

LOL! I shall ;) I think he must have stolen it from a construction site. I kinda like him with that, although I thought I wouldn't.

As for the bug-bots, I think one of them was Scalpal and was welding him at one point, but I might be wrong. The others did look a bit like cyber-nits though. And now I feel itchy in sympathy.

*ROFL* Now that puts an entertaining image to mind. xD Megatron being all stealthy and sneaky, lurking around a random construction site before snatching the rag and sprinting away in the dead of night... Or maybe he just got Laserbeak to steal it for him. XD

Oh yeah, I think I do remember a Scalpel-looking one patching him up at one point. =/ But yes. Ick! >.< I kind of prefer your idea. Less nasty then cyber-nits. :S *shudders*

Oh god. When Prime got caught by the wires. I had a really hard time not screaming, "DANCE MY PUPPET DANCE!" XDDD
