Ahhhh emotional intelligence! I hate that sometimes women get that automatic label (like you're assumed to be good at being the leader or whatever because of your ability to deal with ~feelings~), but at the same time, I want to be recognized for having a good understanding of people and how to deal with situations. Just don't tie it simply to my gender.

Yes! Exactly! Recognise it as an aspect of my personality, not just me "being such a girl" about something. I love what JKR says about Hermione in the video, about how sure, she fancies Ron but she doesn't compromise on being smart - like, she likes a boy and that's completely allowed and valuing other things as well as and over her relationship with said boy is also completely allowed, and that multiplicity of priorities is what makes her such a well-rounded character.
