this is just beautiful ♥
the way you write is just so vivid and gorgeous, you can really feel how hurt segio was in 2007 and 2009 compared to how happy he was in 2008.

euro 2008 is probably the happiest i've been football wise since may 2006 (liverpool fa cup), hopefully i'll feel the same come july 2011

thank you so much! i've not dabbled too much in second person as of late so i'm glad it worked.
<3

ahhh agreed! i felt that happy when RM won the champions league way back when in 02 and then when liverpool won in 2005, but it's somehow different with national teams? there's nothing like national pride jajaja

i'm definitely hoping for july2010!

Every once in a while I go on a little Sergio binge, if you will. I was in one just this morning, so I read this, and gah. It's perfect. The joy and disappointment and just everything that goes along with pride.

I loved this, basically. You write flawlessly and it just flows so well. ♥

NGH beautiful beautiful story. I didn't know what to expect, I was waiting for the slashy part, the why-did-Fernando-leave part or maybe even the is-Sergio-pairing-up-with-Iniesta part? But, this was just a glorious profile of Spain through the eyes of one its most intriguing personalities.

Love this the most -
This is Spain, too, you think, maybe a little bitterly. You’d forgotten about this side of Spain, the side that took with it all the hurt and disappointment of an entire country. It had to come sometime, you’d known in your head. You knew you couldn’t keep riding the tidal waves of praise and victory without having to deal with defeat as well.

This is Spain, too.

I am such a huge fan of your writing. ♥

thank you so much! i thought about adding an actual relationship but then i decided that i just wanted it to be about sergio and his relationship with his team in general, as spain. i'm really glad you liked it; i was a little worried about posting it because of the lack of any relationship.

that means so much! <3
