[Boone makes a stop at the infirmary, knocking at the door to Juliet's office. Thankfully, Alex wasn't there.

His nose was still bleeding, and had left a rather strange bloodstain on his shirt. Figuring the it was already ruined, he waits and uses it to wipe the blood off of his face.]

Claire had been in the infirmary, figuring it would be a good distraction to keep herself busy from the Monster and everything else. She hadn't been neglecting her work but now she was trying to be around longer.

She hadn't seen Boone walk in but once she heard the knocking, she came around to see him at Juliet's door. Claire was unsure of whether or not Juliet was inside but she could help if she wasn't.

Boone, are you okay?

She notices the blood and instinct kicks in.

Oh my god, Boone, what happened?!

[He turns around, a little shocked to see Claire standing there.]
I got attacked by some insane woman. I tried to make her stop, but she only spoke latin--
[he cuts himself off, this was already beginning to sound ridiculous.]
This sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
[He sighs.]
She was the Smoke Monster's mother.

She listens to him but doesn't say anything before pulling a chair over for him to sit down.

Did he do anything? She wouldn't be happen if she learned the Monster had beat up Boone as well as Ana. Charlie had obviously been right about him.

Here, sit down. What other injuries do you have? I know he can be.. kind of touchy.

The smoke monster? Yeah, he hit me.
[He points to his swelling jaw and sits.]
His mom nicked me on the leg, and did pretty much everything else on my face.

Juliet wanders out of the back area, fresh from counting inventory, hearing what she thinks is Claire rustling around in the main area. She stops short at the sight of Boone covered in blood. She runs to his side.

Boone, what... what the hell happened?

I met the Smoke Monster's mom.
She's a bitch.

Juliet helps Claire and begins to tend to Boone, still looking baffled.

The... wait, the Smoke Monster's mother? She's here?

[He grunts as she tends to a particularly painful wound.]
Yeah, I was kinda shocked that it had a mother too. But everything about the smoke monster makes sense after meeting her. I was wandering around and I just said "hey" to her, and she yelled some psychobabble latin and attacked me with a knife.

Who does that? Seriously.

*Alex walks back into the infirmary and walks straight into Juliet's office with the boxes Juliet had asked her to find..*

Julie, I found these ones, I think they're - BOONE?

*Alex spots Boone's bloody shirt and her eyes widen as she looks up at his swollen jaw, and throws the boxes on the table by the door and walks swiftly over to them.*

What happened to you?

I uh, ran into the Smoke Monster's Mom, and then I ran into the Smoke Monster.

[listen_to_locke]

*Alex gently grabs his face and looks at him with a worried expression, trying to check the damage herself.*
What do you mean his mother, are you in pain? Did you get stitches anywhere? How long have you been here?
*She kisses him softly and then looks at his bloody shirt.*

Oh Boone, are you hurt anywhere else?

[Woah, that hurts. Boone yelps in pain.]
That was a little too sudden Alex!
The Smoke Monster has a Mother, she was creeping behind some bushes. I saw her and she attacked me, then the smoke monster showed up, punched me in the jaw, and then they started bickering. That's when I left.
I haven't been here too long.
