Death comes in threes...

I guess everyone has probably heard that old saying, that death comes in threes, right? Has anyone ever experienced this, in one way or another? I thought I'd just share my story about it.

I'm afraid this is true, at least from my experience. My grandfather passed away in 2002, my dad in 2004 and dad's sister in 2006. Nobody else since then.
It's so difficult. I have never imagined it would be my father :\

Yea I've experienced it this year. My boyfriend's great grandmother, my roommates grandmother and a friend's mother. So my close circle of friends had been to 3 funerals and it wasn't even February yet. Actually 4 if you count the death of another friend's husband in late December.

I know it's crazy to joke about this but we're all kinda wondering who might be next...

Recently both of my greatgrandmothers have departed, within about a month from each other... I seriously hope this 'death comes in threes' thing dosnt happen to me :' |

i lost my grandmother on my father's side, and my aunt on my mother's side, in a week's span of one another. a few months later, i lost my grandfather on my dad's side too.

i grew up quick that year :(.
