An ex-girlfriend of mine had bleach splashed on her while walking home, by some asshole kids. Luckily it didn't get in her eyes or mouth, and only managed to ruin some of her clothes, but still. The things people will do, just because you're different continue to shock me to this day.

This past summer I went to a theater that was playing The Creature From the Black Lagoon & had on a sleeveless black dress. The older couple sitting behind me kept commenting to eachother about how my tattoos were disgusting & how they hoped to god I would never procreate because I probably worship the devil & how it's just so disgusting when females are heavily tattooed, hahaha. Fortunately most of the people that I've come into contact with are pretty open-minded, though. I do get an off comment every now and again, but I usually just let it roll right of my of my back. HATERS GON' HATE.

I dressed in relatively normal clothes -- jeans, tanktop, t-shirt, skate shoes, etc. Yet I was still called a dyke or lesbo, to my face no less, because I didn't have "normal" hair. Even my friends discussed my orientation behind my back, despite knowing that I had dated guys and liked guys... yeah. People are fucking cruel when it comes to being different. I wish I could dye my hair pink again.
