Like...Jace, Clay, Shelli, Becky, Liz...their pre-show interviews bored me to death. Do they cast them because they can't find relatively attractive BB super fans? Or do they think recruits make the game more fun? If BBCan can find attractive BB fans why can't BBUS? So many

The gameplay was literally nonexistent last year. I might be wrong but I don't think any of the following houseguests had any strategy going in:

I don't mind recruits completely. At least I don't mind the idea of them, in that it is important to get a wide variety of characters and if you just cast superfans you wont get that. Also if you just cast superfans you're very likely to get a cast where half the people have replaced their personality with reality tv facts that they just want to recite to impress people.

The problem is the characters/people they are casting and the roles they want to fill. The type of people they want are boring young adults that might fuck each other, if production is lucky. Not people who are fast learners or come from a variety of backrounds.

in my opinion they cast recruits based on looks and / or personality. Not all recruits are boring, they just don't know shit about the game. It never use to be all about recruits, but it seems Grodner would rather have a season filled with 20's something wanna-be models that think they're on Bachelor Pad. Game play is a thing of the past for BBUS, because production plans on rigging, and super fans would call that shit out..., recruits just don't know any better and don't care. They're are in the house for exposure and some cash, not to play the game. Robyn Kass can absolutely find attractive super fans, and I'm sure she has them in the final round of casting. Grodner has the final say, and she wants showmances and people they can control.

Yeah I read somewhere that for BBUS Robyn Kass narrows the pool down to 50 or 60 and then production makes the final selection. For BBCan she narrows it down to 20-25 so she has more control.
