Like...Jace, Clay, Shelli, Becky, Liz...their pre-show interviews bored me to death. Do they cast them because they can't find relatively attractive BB super fans? Or do they think recruits make the game more fun? If BBCan can find attractive BB fans why can't BBUS? So many

I don't mind recruits completely. At least I don't mind the idea of them, in that it is important to get a wide variety of characters and if you just cast superfans you wont get that. Also if you just cast superfans you're very likely to get a cast where half the people have replaced their personality with reality tv facts that they just want to recite to impress people.

The problem is the characters/people they are casting and the roles they want to fill. The type of people they want are boring young adults that might fuck each other, if production is lucky. Not people who are fast learners or come from a variety of backrounds.

the 2nd part of your comment is exactly what i'm saying. they don't care if the person doesn't know the game and doesn't really care about strategy / winning. its about the look and potential hook ups.

which I think is also a reason why they cast so few minorities. They think people won't be generally open to interracial relationships or hookups but that's really insulting tbh. Look at BB10-the two people who fucked 24/7 were a white girl and a black guy.

I don't know... I just feel like one of the MAJOR reasons BBCan2 and BBCan3 were so much better than recent seasons of BBUS was that most of the players were fans of the show and went in with somewhat of a strategy in mind.

but Grodner doesn't produce BBCan. They're production is probably fine with game play and strategy. I truly believe she hates it, and hates the idea of house guests going against what she wants. If we had true fans of the show in the house, her agenda wouldn't happen.

The weird thing is that BBCan rigs even more, but they usually help the fan fave HGs, which is arguably even better for ratings.

I'm fine with there being maybe four to six or so superfans of the show being in the house. I just see fans and superfans as very different things and think regular fans are necessary as well, as are people that aren't fans but are fast learners or have an interesting personality or backround where they can be entertaining.
