Yeah I talked to my buddy who works for Union pacific and is in the union and he said it's like a 99% chance he won't get fired, but he will most likely have to enroll in proper diversity counseling and training sessions and will have to issue a formal apology.
Like someone said elsewhere, railroads take drug use very seriously and he has been constantly bragging about doing drugs. I'm sure he can expect some serious drug testing when he gets home.
he'll have been clean for months at that point from being in the BB house, but i can see them making him submit to weekly drug tests for a year or something similar.
Who knows, he has a safety critical job and the railroad is really strict about NO drugs in your system at any time. I know in Canada, even the unions can't protect you from being fired for drug usage if you work under the railway act.
