Like someone said elsewhere, railroads take drug use very seriously and he has been constantly bragging about doing drugs. I'm sure he can expect some serious drug testing when he gets home.

he'll have been clean for months at that point from being in the BB house, but i can see them making him submit to weekly drug tests for a year or something similar.

Who knows, he has a safety critical job and the railroad is really strict about NO drugs in your system at any time. I know in Canada, even the unions can't protect you from being fired for drug usage if you work under the railway act.

My husband applied for a conductor's job, he researched it.

I was just thinking testing weekly could be considered harassment, but he'd be easy to catch if they let him get comfortable back home and then test. It'd be silly to do it right away since he'll have been clean for bb. However, if it was pot he bragged about, hair follicle tests come up a month after, iirc. Urine clears faster.

he's already been caught by his employer before and they made him go to some sort of rehab. i wouldn't be surprised if he's already on thin ice.
