I'll upload a couple of pictures later (I just finished up a 12 hour graveyard shift, and my camera is so new that I haven't even uploaded the software yet.) but I was there on Friday and Saturday. I didn't have a chance to see Karl Urban or Zachary Quinto, sadly.

However, I got to the Indigo room early to make sure I'd have a seat for The Venture Bros. panel which meant sitting through the panel that was there before them, which was about the show Leverage. Now, I've never seen the show, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that one of the actors was none other than Wil Wheaton. So that was pretty cool.

Also, one of the booths at the con was for the Roddenberry Dive Team where they were selling shirts and pins and pet tribbles. Their mission is to protect the oceans and environment. "The RDT is made up of people just like you from all over the world, divers and non-divers alike who not only have an interest in ocean exploration but also a love for the vision and optimism that was handed down by Gene Roddenberry." How cool is ( ... )

I love that Wil Wheaton could probably show up at ANY panel and nobody will bat an eyelash. The Venture Bros. panel was freakin' awesome. BROCK SAMSON. <3

Wil Wheaton was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting to have nothing entertaining to do for the duration of that panel. Instead, I got to geek out over the fact that I WAS IN THE SAME ROOM AS WESLEY CRUSHER.

And, oh gods, the VB panel was FREAKIN' SWEET! ("They hit me with a truck!") I still can't get over the fact that Patrick Warburton drives a '69 Dodge Charger.

(Why am I still awake? I have to be back to work in less than... *checks time* seven hours. I need to sleep. Or at least get my camera software uploaded so that I can share photo goodness with other LJ members. Damnit, why does the internet have to be so damn addicting? OK, I'm logging off now. I swear. Really...)

"Leverage" is actually a pretty cool show. You should try it, bb. :)

I was there Wednesday through Sunday and I got to see one of Zach's panel! I also got to meet and greet WILLIAM SHATNER. (omg!) The trolley station signs were all in Klingon!

I got to smell the samples for the Trek-themed colognes. My favorite was Shirtless Kirk. :) I bought a science blue from the Roddenberry Dive Team. While I was contemplating whether or not to buy my brother a command gold, an older gentleman decked in science officer gear pointed at my tricorder and was like, samesies! He gushed at how awesome it is to see someone my age that's into Star Trek. I told him about my 15 year old brother and how he's hooked too.

I also sat through a panel called The Geek Report. It was about sci fi on TV and they mentioned ~the legacy of Star Trek~. It was interesting!

My 15 year old too cool for school brother WAS SHAKING. The closer we got, the more nervous he became and then I got more nervous so we were just vibrating with excitement.

It was...just...it was awesome. He and I kept high fiving each other all day over it.

Bruce Greenwood was there as well.
If anyone here saw him or attended the forum on Batman Under The Red Hood with Bruce----I'd LOVE to hear all about it!

I was there! Bruce was so freakin' cool. The mod was freaking out over having Captain Pike on the panel and when it came to Q&A, he was like, the next question better be for Mr. Greenwood. The next question was for Bruce, but not for Greenwood! haha. John DiMaggio, the other voice actor on the panel, was fanboying Greenwood the whole time. It was cute.

ps He was an AMAZING Batman, and both the voice director (ANDREA ROMANO)and Bruce Timm would LOVE to have him again.

Thank you and also thanks to paopukitten for telling me about seeing Bruce Greeenwood at Comic Con. You two are so lucky. I've been reading all I can about him being there and I hope he had such a good time with the fans that he'll be a regular there. I never knew so many celebrities went to that convention!
I'm looking forward now to Bruce being at the Las Vegas convention in a couple of weeks. I think he and Leonard Nimoy are the only two from the 2009 Star Trek movie that will be there.

I didn't go to the panel, but my friend and I got into the Batman signing before all the WB incompetence happened (causing us to miss out on the Green Lantern and Harry Potter signings... ><). Bruce Greenwood was super nice and when we went up to him he greeted us with this nice big "Hi!" He was fantastic up close in person ^-^.

I was at the Castle panel too!! Molly Quinn = MY HERO. Seriously, I didn't think I could love her anymore and then she goes and shows up in full Trek attire. <3

I forgot my USB cord at home so no pictures until tonight, but all my pictures and reports are on this journal, although it's friends only (you can friend if you like).
Otherwise, there's a bare-bones public version at tardis.vox.com.
