In other news, I fell so badly today doing crossovers because fresh ice is beautiful but slippery (major side eye to my left outside edge)...it was literally a spin out because I was going too fast. And my first real fall but definitely not my last.

Once, recently, I was going really fast while doing back crossovers and I was afraid that I was going to crash into the boards, and I lost my focus and went flying onto my bottom. D: Hopefully you didn't get hurt too badly.

Poor Mao. Her skating was so beautiful despite the falls. I'm crossing my fingers for her today!!!!

I hope she doesn't get discouraged, I imagine it takes a while to adjust to a new way of jumping just like an adjustment in any other sport...but it's really hard when with all the training you're judged on just a few minutes on the ice
