I had a feeling this was Phil Hersh by number two, and this was cemented by the Rachael Flatt hate. Really, he needs to get over himself with that because he's obsessed with hating on her.
I agree with him that Pchan's overscoring is making a mockery of the sport (and y'all know how I love him) but uh...saying that Denney/Coughlin deserved to be in fourth at SC is a joke.
I can't agree more to what was said about Patrick, I mean, he even stumbled on a freaking step sequence, so what does that say about his skating skills??? And wether you like his skating-style or not, there are others out there who are as good as him (or in Daisuke's case even better, at least in my opinion) and can get high scores for the program components, it's not just about those stupid quads!!!!!
It wasn't even a step sequence as I recall, it was a jumping pass, he was just stroking at the time! I think he also slipped a bit at the end of his step sequence, looked like it in the replay (but don't quote me on that cuz I wasn't watching him that closely tbh).
Yes, I meant that slip at the end, but the trip before the jump was even worse! But I have to admit, he did great still being able to pull the jump off after that! Well, anyway, I just don't get why the judges are always getting so hyped up because of him... but opinions differ, right?
I guess they do! He just doesn't do anything for me stylistically, I don't get any emotion from him or feel anything watching him skate. But IDT the judges care about that. Sadly.
Patrick Chan is the best men's skater in the world, but judges continue to make a mockery of the sport by giving him ridiculously high component scores when his skating doesn't deserve it.
How do you give Chan 9.5 (of 10) for skating skills after a Skate Canada short program when he botched an opening quad and did a double axel instead of a triple? One judge did, and four of the other nine scored him 9 or higher.
And how did he get seven scores of 9 or more on skating skills in a free skate when he fell twice? I know the sport is more than jumping, but those scores are an insult to everyone's intelligence, Chan's included.
Abbott needs to show his poor 2011 season was not a sign he is past his peak at age 26
I'm not sure I would describe Jeremy's season as "poor" last year. If you forget about Nationals he did well at the Grand Prix events and medaled at 4CC too.

Hersh is right about many things though.
