Pechalat and Bourzat out of Skate Canada

In unrelated news [to Mroz's 4Lutz], Skate America silver medalists Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat withdrew from Skate Canada this week, likely as a result of Bourzat's bout with bronchitis. Though Bourzat was visibly winded at the end of his free skate in Ontario last week, the team still comfortably won the silver medal

Oh good, I had forgotten they'd signed up for three! At the end of the FD on Saturday he seriously looked like he was going to fall down/not be able to skate off, so this is probably a good decision for them! I don't know if it showed on TV but he was kinda pale/grey too. :( :(

You could see it on TV, I don't think that anyone could not notice the colour on his face:(

I hope Fabian feels better soon! (And I hope they use his recovery time to reconsider their FD costumes because the program is gorgeous but I just cannot with their costumes.)

I'm sorry for the people that is going to SC and they wanted to see them but yeah good choice cos poor fabian he looked like almost dying after the free dance, he couldn't even breath

Voir's FD is boring TBH and you know how much I love them. I think Davis/White have the stronger programs this year, except I don't like Marlie's lifts in the FD.

I don't think it's boring, but I'm into more dance based programs. Unique is cool if you pull it off I guess, but not my cup of tea.

I just expected more from the program, it didn't seem very dynamic considering what they had to work with. Of course, it was only their first performance. IDK sometimes programs just don't click with me, like Meryl and Charlie's FD last season
