Pechalat and Bourzat out of Skate Canada
In unrelated news [to Mroz's 4Lutz], Skate America silver medalists Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat withdrew from Skate Canada this week, likely as a result of Bourzat's bout with bronchitis. Though Bourzat was visibly winded at the end of his free skate in Ontario last week, the team still comfortably won the silver medal.
Their Grand Prix Final berth is still well within reach, however, as they are one of the skaters eligible to compete in three Grand Prix events this season, an option that they had taken prior to the start of the series. They are slated to compete at Trophee Eric Bompard in mid-November.
