Firstly, YOU ARE ALREADY A LEGEND OF FIGURE SKATING, PLUSHY, NO MATTER WHAT THE HATERS SAY. Never forget that.
Despite everything I'm glad the reporter asked about the dispute in Vancouver. I know that it's been over a year and that Plushy himself is looking toward the future, but I also think that by now one can say that quads are back and I believe Plushy made a big contribution to that. Not only by coming back to the sport, but also precisely by his refusal to be "gracious" at the results. That's something to be proud of, too, as much as any medal. (And tbh I think he was gracious enough, when it comes to that.) Everything he actually said was about the sport, and that's what it was really about. *two thousands more words of rant deleted*
And the way he talks about the past, so simply and matter-of-factly, as if it weren't even so terrible after all...Oh god. What a huge contrast between the way he was treated and the way he treats the younger skaters now.
