Exactly. People (usually homophobic people) often say to me, "how can you be against pedophiles? They're just pedosexuals, they're attracted to children and can't change that. If you support homosexuals but not pedosexuals you are a hypocrite."

Umm...what? Do these people not know about consent, the ability to consent, legal ages of consent? I assume that there probably are "pedosexuals" who never have and never will act on their attraction (I feel like throwing up, after typing that)...and while those people still creep me out (I'll never understand seeing a child in that manner)...it's the action...taking advantage of the fact that the child might not be brave enough to say no and then touching the child that's the crime. Not to mention...ABILITY TO CONSENT!

I'm not yelling or scolding you...I'm just pissed off.

The ONLY thing that I'm taking away from this is that I saw EVERY Catholic friend/relative of mine rage about this today on Facebook, which makes me feel slightly better about blood family/chosen family, even if this is repulsive.
