Slightly off-point but this post reminded me of this review I read yesterday: Magic Mike: Old sexism in a new package. I find it kinda depressing that a movie supposedly for women is so male-centered, not that I'm surprised but yeah. It'd be nice to see a new take on this shit.

But basically gay people reading super str8 movies queerly is kind of old news I think... also what else are you supposed to do whem Matt Bomer's involved?!

Gay men are going to be interested in a film that has hot guys taken their clothes off? No, Really?

(Actually I'm not all that interested in it, I'd rather see my hot men in a context that isn't so very heterosexual, but still)

lol this movie. I'm one of those people who doesn't get stripping/exotic dancing. Unless I get to touch it's just too impersonal and while the people are pretty it doesn't do anything for me. Also there tends to be a distinct "no fatties" vibe which I can also do without.
