It is mathematically feasible for ron paul to become the nominee. That doesnt even count the "dirty tricks" planned.

It is unlikely, but a guaranteed showcase.

You know, I feel the same. My boyfriend is a Paulie and he's stuck on the "but he'll legalize pot!" thing. He's not Republican in the slightest, but the almighty pot legalization apparently trumps EVERYTHING ELSE.

Sigh. He's a wonderful boy otherwise, too.

My brother is a big Ron Paul guy and he just posted on FB about similar stuff. I love my brother and he is a nutcase half the time but all his Ron Paul antics scare me a little.

So, basically ... Ron Paul doesn't give a fuck about democracy, or making things better, or anything. He and his stupid-ass little followers just want to cause problems, causing the Republican party to have even more problems.

The GOP rules are not the same as the rules during a general election. The Ron Paul people have actually been following the rules more then the GOP. They are just being technical.

Basically more ron paul people show up, vote for a new head, and take over the local GOP. (videos of it all over youtube. The tears of the neocons flow) Many state GOPs will be controlled by ron paul people after the next election.

So basically, you're saying I need to get out now. Got it.

I think I'm kinda glad Utah seems to have avoided being interested in that nutjob. We're sort of contractually obligated to support Romney.

Okay, it was bad enough when I was only really encountering passive Paulites. Now you say I have to worry about active ones existing even after Obama wins his second term?

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Aside from the fact that this is perceived to hurt the Republican party's chances in November, I don't think it's a bad idea at all for significant political minorities (like Paul supporters) to carve out some way to have influence within the first-past-the-post voting system we have.
