Ron Paul’s Delegate Antics Could Spell Trouble For GOP Convention

With Newt Gingrich finally out of the race, there’s only one other candidate standing between Mitt Romney and the official nomination. And while Ron Paul doesn’t have a chance to stop Romney, he seems poised to make some ( Read more... )

Well, I'm not sure I understand all the fuckery planned out, but hey, I am cool with anything that makes Republicans apoplectic.

Not exactly topical, but: is there a certain point at which we can decide Ron Paul is a cult? I'm curious.

I think that point was in early 2008, when I was woken up by a knock or my door to be greeted by a pair of fresh-faced young men wanting to know if I had a moment to talk about Ron Paul.

The election is being used to take over local and state GOPs by ron paul people. The delegate strategy is working pretty well.

I think the planned fuckery for the convention is for a lot of Mitten's Pledged Delegates (who are actually RP supporters) to abstain from voting. They cant vote for RP during the first round, but they can abstain. RP does have enough delegates right now to be nominated during the convention.

Some shit is going to go down, get your popcorn ready.

My blood sugar is too low right now for me to read the entire article, but I believe I have it right when I say Ron Paul's followers don't give a fuck about democracy and have made it their mission in life to get a man nominated despite the fact that HARDLY ANYONE VOTED FOR HIM BECAUSE HE IS AN OUT OF TOUCH EXTREMIST. But then again, most of Paul's followers seem to have no grasp on reality so I shouldn't wonder.

I've given up on talking to Ron Paulites. Anyone who is okay with someone being against the civil rights act and Roe v Wade just because the federal reserve is "illegal" makes me want to scream.

Silly things like democracy and the will of the people don't matter when privileged white dudes know better.

Let's face it: a lot of Ron Paul supporters only care about the legalizing weed part. The place where my dad's girlfriend works is full of aging hippies (and right next to a head shop... yeah, I'm not fond of her) and it's plastered in RON PAUL 2012 shit because all they care about is that marijuana could be legalized. Fuck the fact that Paul is against many of the things that hippies apparently stood for way back when; they stopped paying attention after "pot legalized"

PLEASE. I would love this. I was sad when Santorum dropped out, but Ron Paul might be even better for the left!
