One Million Moms: 0
Gay Plot to Corrupt America's Children: 2

I can't wait to see who they try to take on next.

The thing I can't grasp is if... you have a million moms, one of them has to be a parent to a gay/lesbian child at some point.

Unless it's just three of them using the "million" alliteratively, which is probably more likely.

Yeah, but they don't really have a million. I'd bet money on that.

I remember when Ellen Degeneres talked about them, she mentioned their Facebook page only had about 40,000 people on it or something like that.

Homosexuality is a topic which is "too complicated" for children to understand, say the mothers, and "a trip to the toy store turns into a premature discussion on sexual orientation and is completely uncalled for".

What's so complicated about saying, "They're two people that love each other very much?"

Years ago, my preschool child asked me about two friends who'd been visiting. "Are they sisters?"

"No," I said. "They're together like Mommy and Daddy are together."

Unlike Monica Cole, my then 4-year-old was perfectly able to understand that.

I was able to grasp this as young as seven, when I discovered that my two uncles shared a room and shared a bed which each other. The only people who shared a bed were people who were "married" and despite my parents insistence that my uncles were "roommates" I knew what was going on. A few years later, I was shown photos of their wedding (one uncle wore a black top hat and the other wore a white top hat, it was adorable) and that's when I got it.

Ugh, no words for how much I hate the "it will be so confusing for kids" bullshit?
You know what's confusing for kids? Fractions. Fractions are hella confusing for kids. They need to learn about them anyway. Being a kid is about being confronted with new things that might confuse you and learning about them, and being a parent is about helping your kids learn.
