Last week's Info Post was sad. The comments were sad. And for the rest of the week all of the submitted posts were sad except one or two about trees and cats with bowties, and I was going to post something else sad and dismal but I thought we could all use a break so TODAY WE ARE GOING TO TALK ABOUT FOOD!

And hey you, Healthy Eating Chart - Potatoes and French fries so count! (LOL, let me believe that.)

Ha, this post on the heels of me telling my guy that I hate my weight. Which, of course, involves eating healthier, and going back to exercise. The problem I always come across, though, is that we're too poor to cook separately, and cook meals together to save on cash. Any suggestions to how to mend this issue? I really, really need to get back into shape. My colon begs me as well.

There are plenty of healthy meals that taste good that y'all could share. Stuff like garlic, baked chicken with flavored rice and canned veggies if fresh is too expensive to buy consistently.

Mmmm, we do love the baked chicken, and most anything meat-wise I put in the slow-cooker.

I may try that paleo thing below, though. *nods*

Why can't you use what's in this post and cook together? Your guy should eat healthy too... Sorry, I'm missing something.

I like this post. A lot. I also like how it doesn't insist that vegan/vegetarian is the best way to go. Insisting that they are is classist and ableist.

But hey I think I'll be able to use some of these! I have issues with cooking, some sensory and some just energy and patience wise, but I hope to cook more in the future.

But seriously, people. I was in the hospital last week for a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection, i.e. a rare random heart damage that happens to young people, - mostly women. I had a 90% blockage from a damaged artery. The fact is, the rest of my arteries were in great condition because I eat healthy and that fact probably saved my life. I would not be here if I had any extraneous clots or plaque and crap clogging up my heart.

Trust me people YOU DON'T WANT TO FEEL THIS thing called a hear attack. It sucks. Be good to yourself and eat well peeps!!!

Ooh, thank you for this! I've been meaning to cut out some dairy for a while (though I don't think I could go 100% vegan, since it's expensive and I'm a student), so this should be a great resource.
