Ew, he does not need to be working with children in any capacity. I don't want to make light of the situation, but I will say that I appreciate that he made a real apology (I'm sorry for my lack of judgment...caused you pain and discomfort), and not some fake, "Sorry u mad" thing.

This. It was a surprisingly real apology, but even so, the fact that he is (and will continue to be) a guidance counselor still bugs me.

I agree fully. The apology felt real to me, and that's good, but I don't feel comfortable that he'll keep his job as a guidance counselor after something as tasteless and hurtful like this.

No. Rex_dart screen-capped a comment from the source, and not so subtly hinted that must be written by me. Even though it isn't.

Wow, we have a "hurt feelings" report at work, but it is not a disgusting piece of shit. it's actually amusing.

This is just ... ugh, really? You thought this was in ANY way appropriate?

I love those types of reports, they really can be amusing without being completely offensive!
But yeah, agree with you. How could he for one second think it was a good idea? I just can't.

I am stunned by the sheer stupidity of this that I need to know what he was thinking. How on any sensible level did he think nothing bad would come of this? I know I made a similar rant like this about a teacher being an asshole on facebook, but again, really, this took steps, this took time, and not once did it ever occur to him that this wasn't going to end well. How can people function with this kind of thinking?

...Lynch is being allowed to remain on at the school as a guidance counselor...

NO. NO. How could they think this was the right thing to do?! HOW?!
