how have I not heard of this? Am I just getting spectacularly bad at following the news? Because this feels really out of the blue; I'd have expected the right to try and get as much of the FN's electorate as they could by giving it maximum publicity.

God, I just can't with my country anymore.

It's about time something was done about this Islamic menace. But it still offends my secular sensibilities knowing that Muslims are out there. Why don't we make all Muslims wear yellow crescent badges too? Then we'd be able to recognise the potential threat to secularism. Oh, and just so fewer people are offended, all the Muslims should live in designated parts of each town, yeah. And naturally we don't want to encourage this anti-secular activity, so a ban on trade between Muslims and Secularists would make sense...

This isn't secularism, that's just a veil for their outright islamaphobic bullshit. :/ If it were secular, all prayer would be banned, not just islamic prayer.

I'm not well versed in constitutional law, but I really don't understand how laws like those are fucking legal. Usually (based on a previous law in my country) if they are to vote a law that could be seen as discriminatory they have to prove they a good reason for doing it.
