Don't really agree with him most of the time, but good call on telling the GOP to fuck the fuck off out of America's bedrooms.

Oh for sure. If the GOP want to win sensible people back to their favour, they've got to stop whining and bitching about shit that doesn't actually affect them.

In the meantime though, the rest of us just get to sit by and watch the party get more and more crazys signing up.

A friend of mine recently described it as a party in the 'runaway train' phase. It's doomed to crash, and it's almost fun to watch, but we're not sure we'll all survive until the inevitable happens.

"I think that the Republican Party would be well advised to get the heck out of people's bedrooms and let these things get decided by states."

No. It should not be decided by anybody.

Poorly worded - gay marriage should not be a state's rights issue - states should be forbidden from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation.

(and, really, people should be able to have the same protections and benefits that marriage affords WITHOUT having to get married in the first place. Not everybody fits into the same relationship mold that marriage promotes.)

I don't know what the heck the Republican Party wants to do getting involved in people's sexual lives and personal lives so much for.

Really? REALLY? No ideas there, at all? Never pandered to a base, not once in your life, Noun Verb 9/11?

I mean, good job on saying "seriously, folks?" but I'm side-eyeing a lot in that statement.

Would have been nicer if Giuliani had left out the "I still think it's wrong", but alright then...

“No,” he answered, “I don't see harm. Although I think it would be better for stability of families and everything else if we kept marriage between a man and a woman.

What the fuck is he even saying. I mean, I guess it's, uh, nice and all he's telling the GOP to drop the issue, but he's saying nothing bad will happen while still making some bullshit bigoted comment about families and by extension ~the childrens~ in the same breath. Go away already, dude.

As said earlier it's his way of trying to pander to both sides.
