Ugh. Every time I hear about shit like this I want to point out one of my students (and my daughter's best friend). She and her sister were adopted from Guatemala by two wonderful women. The girls are the sweetest, kindest, hardest-working students I have, and the moms are wonderful--they've been coaching my daughter's little group of friends through a book illustration project for Scholastic, they put in huge amounts of volunteer hours at our school... but you know, gay people can't be good parents and aren't a good influence on children. Fuck that bullshit.
