I'm kind of inclined to agree. If he's really willing, REALLY WILLING, to work toward changing his ways and views on animal treatment, then maybe it would help for him to have a pet so he can see it more as a friend and partner than a tool for violence.

I agree with this - It would help him to learn about compassion towards animals, but he should have an "animal social worker" checking in every week or so.

Yesterday in the mothership, there were way too many Vick stans saying it was time to move on. Yes, the NFL does seem to enjoy its people murderers, but that doesn't mean Vick gets a pass. People want to give him a pass because he plays a sport and they like watching him play that sport. If they kill humans, if they kill animals, if they beat their girlfriends, wives, children, rape a child, support a crazy alcoholic racist homophobe I think we should stop forgiving these people.
