Salt Lake City, UT - The Mormon church has once again gotten its hands caught in the cookie jar. Political watchdogs are calling for an investigation into the Mormon Church as well as Mormon members of Congress for using US Diplomats to further their religious agenda ( Read more... )

I grew up mormon. Not anymore. Still live in Utah, though. Blegh.

The church makes me sick. Utah is a beautiful place, except for the Church.

Yes. It would be one thing if the Swiss were saying "too bad" about visas for students or scientists studying disease cures, but missionaries? Glad this is being investigated.

What also gets me is that if all these Congressmen are Mormons, why were people so afraid to elect a Mormon to be POTUS? Cause allegedly, that was the reason Mitt Romney lost.

(I'm just waiting for someone to chime in with "He lost cause he was Republican.")

I have issues with the religion (I'm an ex mormon here) but if I had to, Jon Huntsman Jr, all the way.

But when they polled voters, most of them said it was his choice of religion that turned them off voting for him to be President.

I've been to a Mormon service (my mother and I almost considered converting at one time) and the place and the people just gave me the creeps.
