The latest curio in the ongoing exhibition of BP obfuscation comes via John Aravosis at AmericaBlog, who examined an image from BP's website and determined it to be a fake. UPDATE: BP has apologized for the Photoshopped version of its command center, and it has just released this new, unedited version.

At this point I have to ask, is BP even a company anymore or just the joke of the year? I am sure they lost a ton of money since this disaster happened, and all their shares probably plummeted in the market.

The stock's started going back up a bit since they managed to more-or-less cap the leak a few days ago.
