The American government just LOVED the corrupt unwanted dictator Batista who Castro overthrew in a popular bloodless revolution and the US tried to put Batista back in power against the popular wishes (just like the US has tried to prop up many dictators and put down popular desires to change goverment). Batista was good for American corporate bottom lines and ability to exploit Cubans, while Castro was not.

The American stance on Castro and Cuba has nothing to do with despotism and everything to do with business interests and petty sourgrapes over Castro embarrassing the US a few times in incidents like the Battle of Pigs. The US has dealt happily with lots of despots MUCH worse than Castro but singles out Cuba for an embargo that the United Nations General Assembly has condemned as a violation of international law every year since 1992.

Glenn Beck did not grow year-over-year: in fact, his show was down 7% in total viewers and 6% in the demo

whew

MSNBC's repeats of both "Countdown" (10PM) and "The Rachel Maddow Show" (11PM) beat CNN's two-hour "Anderson Cooper 360" head-to-head.

lololol

Meh. Still don't care. I try to watch, just to see two sides, but the only one I can handle is Bill O' Riley. I still go to Jon Stewart for my news.
