For the most part, anyway.

No one from Faux News is being forbidden from broadcasting their views, and no one is being jailed for it. The American public is not being forbidden from or penalized for watching.

What the Obama admin is effectively doing is calling Faux News out on their b/s, and maybe boycotting. That's something that they are WELL WITHIN THEIR RIGHTS TO DO, even if they are encouraging others to do it.
