The American people do not care which Party solves the problems confronting our nation. And no Senator, no matter how loyal he is to his Party, should or would put party loyalty above his duty to the state and nation.

I respect this man so hard right now. We need to hear this kind of thing more often.

I like this guy. Not because of party affiliations but because he had the common sense to see when things weren't lining up with what he thought. And rather than get all whiny and sticking with the "cool kids", he decided to do what he thought was best for the people. This gives me hope in politicians, regardless of their affiliations. =)
